An Independent Grand Tournament, with 3 side tournaments to pack 3 days full of brutal combat. Starting Sept 7th and lasting through Sept 9th. Tickets are $40.00 each. If you purchase before June 15th, each ticket is $30.00.

For an appetizer, The House of Slaughter is a 1000 point Hardcore tournament consisting of 4 one hour rounds on Friday Starting at 5pm. The objective here is to earn as many VP as you can in each hour. Winners will be awarded a By Round in the Culling! And Like all appetizers, space is limited so secure your seat fast! Please do no fill up this seating if you know you cannot make the start time.

Starting Saturday at 9am is our Main Event! The Culling is an 1850 point single elimination Tournament. Seeded bracket positions will be based on when you purchase a ticket(s). Anyone who registers with a Teammate will be spaced and should not be at the same table before Sunday's events. You can also register in a Battlegroup to spread your crew out among the Seeding. No one wants the awkward ride home with someone you eliminated in the big game!!

I know what you're thinking, Single Elimination!? Let's be honest, we all have had a bad game, and with up to 60 players, you can not make it back into prize position. However, we do have another tournament starting just after round 2 of The Culling kicks off! The Brutal Crush is a 3 round tournament set at 1850 points! Play the same army you brought to The Culling, or sport a completely new army, your choice! This tournament will use the TOMAHAWC Sliderul for scoring and pairings after round 1.

Sunday Kicks off with the conclusion of The Culling. The top 4 players will battle it out for the top prizes of the weekend! After the Semi Final round, our team Tournament kicks off! Your Salvation lies in the hands of another! You and a partner will generate a 2000 point army (1000 points each). Each players force must still follow standard force organization, and unique characters can be duplicated. Don't have a partner? You can try to find one on Saturday during the events, during the Mixer after game 4, or subject yourself to the randomizer. In the event of an odd number, No fears - a willing TO is ready to stand by you and Crush the weak on your behalf!

Prizes and Awards will commence after shortly the team tournament has concluded. Prizes and awards will be given for the following:
The Culling - 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th
The Brutal Crush - 1st, 2nd, & 3rd
Salvation - 1st & 2nd team (Split per player)

Other Categories:
Da' Winnin'est Git - Player with the most wins and highest VP total that didn't place... anywhere.
The Unrelenting - Player with the least wins and lowest VP total that didn't leave early

Army comp rules:
- No Lord Choices
- No Horde formation rules
- Unit size maximums - 25 max on regular troops (including core, special and rare choices), 9 max for monstrous infantry, 10 max for cavalry, and 6 max for monstrous cavalry.
- Normal percentage restrictions, but you must have 3 core units
- If you take a BSB with NO magic or special banners, then you may count it under your core points
Game play changes:
-Cavalry can disrupt with one rank.
-Disrupted units are never steadfast.
-Played on a 4' X 4' table.

- Games and final results will be determined by the MGU Scoring System
- 9:00 AM: registration
- 9:45 AM: registration ends
- 10:00 AM: Round 1 starts
- 11:00 AM; Round 1 end
- 11:15 PM: Round 2 starts
- 12:15 PM: Round 2 ends / Lunch break starts
- 1:00 PM: Round 3 starts
- 2:00 PM: Round 3 end
- 2:15 PM: Round 4 starts
- 3:15 PM: Round 4 ends
- 3:30 PM: Round 5 starts or Awards
- 4:30 PM: Round 5 ends
- 4:45 PM: Awards (if needed)

- Free entry
- 1 hour rounds
- Prizes: 1st Place: $70 store credit, 2nd Place: $40 store credit, 3rd Place: $20 store credit, Best Painted Army: $20 store credit
- 2012 TOC slots to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners


Best Painting Contest– Completely Painted Army* - The best painted award for this event will go to the person with the best painted Battle Standard Bearer. The model must be for the army being played, but does not have to be in the army list. Painting and conversions will be judged by the staff and the winning model may not be used in future painting contest.
* The model must be completely painted, and their bases must be finished with sand and/or flock, or other wise modeled. Whether a model is completed or not is the decision of the event organizer. As a general rule, if someone feels the need to justify why a model is completed, then it probably isn’t.
(This is taken from the Privateer Press Hardcore rules. Please note that this is a bonus for completion not quality.)

Please post here if you plan on playing and encourage other people you know to pre-register as well. You may also call the store or stop by and have whoever is working add you to the list.

We will be playing 1750 points. The event is FREE to play and will start at 10:00AM that Saturday. The doors will open up at 9:30AM.

Please come prepared with at least 2 copies of your army list, 1 to turn in to me and another to show to your opponents. This list should be easy to read. Ideally, I would like them typed but I'll deal with hand written as long as it is legible. DO NOT scribble your list down 15 minutes before the tournament begins on notebook paper! Not only will I make fun of you, but I'll also encourage others to do the same. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Alternatively, you may email me a copy of your list before the tourney (hit me up at jbates@mguinc.com). Please remember that you must still have a copy of your list to show to your opponents!

The "Best Painted" award will be given out for the best looking ELITE choice. In order for your ELITE to be eligible to win "Best Painted" it must be fully painted AND based. I, or whoever else I deem worthy of judging, will only be looking at 1 ELITE choice (be it a single or multi model unit).

The scenarios for the event will be posted below once I figure them out.

We are available on Thursday-Friday nights, or anytime on Sundays. Our group would prefer a GM who is intrested in character devlopment, and not just hack & slash (though we have fun with that too), and one that can roll with odd tatics, as our group has a habit of solving issues with unconventional means.
